Oh So Chic Interiors is a residential interior design studio servicing the DC Metro area.
Our mission is to create beautiful and functional spaces that is uniquely yours, without breaking the bank. We are dedicated in creating a genuine client experience through our organization skills, attention to detail, and passion for design.
FROM THE FOUNDER
In my younger years, my parents and I used to tour and marvel over new-build homes as a hobby each Sunday. Fast forward 15 years, where I rekindled my love for Interior Design, which ignited me to pursue a career in the field. I went on to study at the Art Institute of Washington, where I gained my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design.
Some have asked me, “Why Interior Design?” I chose this path because I felt an interior space can deeply impact one’s life. I believed a properly decorated and well thought out space could make someone feel calm, romantic, or exhilarated. For me, the ability to emit these emotions seemed like an incredible opportunity.
After years of working at different design firms, I decided to go rogue and open my own business.
And the whole purpose of opening the doors to Oh So Chic Interiors was to give people the opportunity to work with an experienced designer at an affordable price point. You shouldn't have to break the bank to have a beautiful home you're proud of!

Mimi is the perfect designer for type A clients. We hired Mimi to help us design a master bathroom remodel (full gut). Both my wife and I have strong preferences (in this case, a rustic chic redesign) on what we like and Mimi had no problems working with our tastes.
One of the best benefits of working with Mimi is that she does not shy away from modern tools. After the initial consultation, she was able to quickly draft up 3d renderings of proposed layouts. We made changes on the fly and the ability to re-render on the fly was extremely helpful in visualizing the final product.
Additionally, because of our busy schedules, Mimi also assisted as a part time project manager to insure our general contractor adhered to the diagrams. This was great as it provided a system of checks and balances compared to a design build firm.
I'd highly recommend Mimi to anyone looking for a designer to help them with a project. She's especially great for those who'd consider themselves a control freak.
